Resident Services Patrol (Part-Time, Wkends)

FUNDAMENTAL JOB FUNCTION:

A Tillinger’s Resident Services Patrol will monitor the common area amenity spaces that encompass but are not limited to the tower and mid-rise lobbies, 3rd floor lounges, dog run, business center, tower and mid-rise penthouses, underground parking, bike rooms, loading dock, as well as the pool area. The Resident Services Patrol assists the Concierge team and property management in the enforcement of building rules and regulations designed for the enjoyment of all residents.  The Resident Services Patrol maintains the pristine aesthetics of the common area amenity spaces and works in conjunction with the cleaning team to ensure that all spaces remain presentable to standard at all times. The Resident Services Patrol is an extension of the Concierge team and may be dispatched by the Concierge on duty or members of the property management at any time to provide service to and/or handle an immediate request.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring building policies and procedures are followed by residents and their guests at all times in the common areas.
  • Being assertive when enforcing all building policies and procedures. Reporting violations to property management.
  • Prevent prohibited items passage to specific common areas.
  • Ensure that the amenity spaces are closed and secured based on times set by property management.
  • Maintain open and concise communication with the concierges on duty, the Concierge Supervisor, and the Property Manager.
  • Maintain frequent communication with both Tower and Mid-rise Concierges with hourly checking for delegated duties. 
  • Resolve resident concerns and/or complaints in a timely manner and maintain comprehensive reports of actions taken.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide assistance by appropriately directing or escorting emergency personnel.
  • Perform structured tours of the interior of the property and execute the tasks that maintain the appearance standards.
  • Engage residents and guests while on patrol offering assistance and politely questioning those not recognized as residents.
  • Communicate any observed common area maintenance issues to Concierge on duty to create work order.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records for incident reports.
  • Complete shift log detailing events and action taken while on patrol.
  • Complete shift checklist to ensure routine duties and those delegated on the shift are executed.
  • Exercise proper judgment at all times.
  • Follow emergency procedures as directed in the property manual and operations guide.
  • Perform peer training as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the security field.
  • Positive, outgoing, and attentive demeanor.
  • Ability to demonstrate an authoritative presence.
  • Requires mobility throughout property and standing for 8 hours.
  • Strong oral, listening, organizational skills, and written including proficient word processing and strong computer knowledge including programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate a history of proven reliability and consistency.

 

This position is part-time. The schedule is Saturdays, 3:30pm-12am and Sundays 3pm-11:30pm.
